DIE CUTTING SERVICES
Thrust Industries serves our customers with a wide variety of equipment, capable of meeting all of their requirements. Our die cutting equipment list includes high speed and clam shell equipment, as well as power punch presses to efficiently process a variety of substrates. We also have the capability to laminate adhesives. Our focus is on non-metallic materials, although we are capable of die cutting thin copper and aluminum.
The type of equipment we use for various die cutting jobs depends on volume and the material substrate to be used. For material that requires heating before use, such as polycarbonate, all of our presses equipped with heat capabilities. The die cutting processes we employ also vary depending on the material type and the needs of the customer. Some customers desire lamination of a PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive). Thrust Industries can meet these needs.
Kiss Cut Services
A key strength that Thrust Industries offers is the ability to kiss cut adhesive parts to a liner. Kiss cutting is the process in which a cut is though every layer, except the bottom lining layer, which remains intact. This allows adhesive back parts to be removed backing liners more easily. This is especially beneficial in assembly line applications, where productivity can be greatly increased.
